Tina Peltier
Candidate
My journey in Grand Junction began when I attended Mesa State College, in 1996. That’s the year I became a member of Western Rockies FCU, and over these 20+ years I’ve witnessed it grow and flourish alongside our expanding community. During this time, the Credit Union has provided me invaluable service and gained my trust in helping me manage my finances. Along the way I’ve raised three children who in turn are Credit Union members, learning the importance of financial planning with the help and guidance of our Credit Union. I feel I now have the opportunity to give back to an establishment and community that has done so much for me and my family, by volunteering as a Western Rockies FCU Board member. I hope my impact as a Board member is two-fold. First, I want my children to see the importance of volunteering within their community, with the wish that someday they will do the same. Secondly, I love being active in our community. As a Realtor, I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many people and form solid, lasting relationships. The strength of our community is with its people, and I like that about the Grand Valley. Additionally, spilling over from the community centered aspects of my professional life, I enjoy the leisure activities that are plentiful here locally. For fun I enjoy playing tennis, skiing, running half marathons throughout the United States, and spending time with my kids. Through this balance of work and play, I have learned the value of community, time management, and work ethic; all of which, I plan to bring to this position. I’d like to thank Western Rockies FCU for this opportunity to serve, I’m excited to embark on the new decade with you all.
